MOHAVE COUNTY – An MD and MBA credentialed professional is the preferred candidate to serve as the next Department of Public Health Director for Mohave County. County Manager Sam Elters is recommending Board of Supervisors approval of the hiring of Dr. Chad Kingsley who currently resides in Las Vegas.
If approved at the July 5 board meeting, Kingsley will succeed Denise Burley, who has resigned but will continue working for the county into early August. Elters said the timeline should allow Kingsley to shadow Burley for one week to soak up as much as he can before she exits.
“I’m a relationship builder, self-directed and detail-oriented to accomplish projects and objects,” Kingsley answered to one job application question.
His resume reflects that Kingsley earned his medical degrees through education programs in Mexico. He has held several positions with the Southern Nevada Health District since June 2012. Kingsley has served as the District’s Regional Trauma Coordinator for the past four years.
“My management style focuses on objectives and outcomes,” Kingsley said in response to another job application question. “For my teams, I assign clear objectives and then work to remove obstacles to enable them to be productive and successful.”
