Aquarius, Edgewater 10th annual ‘Feed a Family’ initiative underway
MOHAVE COUNTY – Aquarius Casino Resort, located at 1900 S. Casino Dr., and Edgewater Casino Resort, located at 2020 S. Casino Dr., will host the 10th annual ‘Feed A Family’ charitable initiative, beginning Monday, Nov. 1 through Saturday, Dec. 25.
The annual Feed A Family program helps provide boxes of food to families through partnerships with local food pantries in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas. For every 25,000 True Rewards points contributed or $25 donated, Aquarius Casino Resort and Edgewater Casino Resort will purchase and donate one food box sized to feed a family of four. Each box includes a ham or turkey along with potatoes, gravy, vegetables, rolls, cranberry sauce, stuffing, pie, and whipped cream.
“All of us at Aquarius and Edgewater are so thankful to be a part of this incredible community and we always look forward to our ‘Feed A Family’ initiative as a way to show our appreciation for our neighbors,” said Sean Hammond, senior vice president and general manager of Aquarius Casino Resort and Edgewater Casino Resort. “It is our hope that we’re able to exceed donations made in previous years and that we’re able to share some holiday cheer with the recipients.”
To participate, True Rewards members may contribute any amount of points or monetary donations, all of which will be allocated towards the purchase of food items to be included in each box.
Since the program began in 2012, Aquarius and Edgewater have fed more than 12,900 families. Participating food pantries include Bullhead City Homeless Youth Program, Food for Families, Mohave Valley Food Pantry, ACS Food Bank, Kingman Food Bank, Nana’s Pantry, Havasu Community Health Foundation Food Bank, Isabel’s Pantry, Needles Community Partners, Set Free Church, Cornerstone Mission and Colorado River Food Bank.
